Unit price moves with three variables, in this order: quantity per style, number of colours, and packing. A 5,000-piece order of one design in four colours is a different price bracket from 500 pieces across ten designs.
Ask for a price at 50, 1,000 and 5,000 pieces on the same SKU. A supplier who cannot quote a curve is guessing — and the gap between those three numbers tells you how much of the price is film and printing versus labour and packing.
Watch for quotes that exclude the header card, the barcode sticker, or the export carton. Those are real costs and they appear at the invoicing stage if they were not in the quote.
